Choose your instrument
Drums
Find your groove from the very first lesson. You’ll build timing, coordination and confidence behind the kit, working through rock, pop, funk and beyond, and learning to drive a song from the back of the stage.
Guitar
Acoustic or electric, strumming chords around a campfire or playing your first solo. We cover technique, rhythm and reading chord charts, always through songs you actually want to play.
Piano
The instrument that opens up all the others. Learn to read music, play by ear and accompany yourself or a singer, with a solid grounding in technique and harmony along the way.
Ukulele
Small, friendly and quick to reward you. The ukulele is a wonderful first instrument for children and a joyful one for adults, and most students are playing a full song within their first few lessons.
Bass guitar
The heartbeat of every band. Learn to lock in with the drums, hold down the groove and understand how a song is built from the bottom up.

Stars Studios has always been about finding your voice. Now you can find your instrument too.
We’ve opened our doors to instrumental music, with classes in drums, guitar, piano, ukulele and bass guitar. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time or returning to one you put down years ago, our teachers will meet you where you are and help you play the music you love.
And because we’re a performing arts studio, learning here doesn’t stop at the practice room. Our instrumental students become part of the Stars Studios community, with the chance to play alongside our singers and take to the stage.
PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTORS
Our instrument teachers don't just teach music. They play it for a living. That makes a real difference in the classroom. A professional musician knows what it takes to get a song ready for an audience, how to play with a band, and how to keep going when a tricky passage won't come right. They teach the technique, and they also teach the things you only learn on stage and in the studio: listening, timing, feel and confidence.
INDIVIDUAL CLASSES
One student, one teacher, your full attention. Individual classes move at your pace and follow your goals, whether that's preparing for an exam, learning a favourite song or building technique from scratch.
SMALL GROUP CLASSES
Learn alongside others at a similar level. Small groups keep the personal attention while adding the things you can only get from playing together: listening, keeping time with other musicians, and a healthy dose of motivation and fun.
